Shell-and-Tube Condenser: Specifically designed to condense process steam or refrigerant vapor into liquid. Cooling water typically flows inside the tubes, while the steam condenses in the shell side. Design considerations include steam distribution, non-condensable gas venting, and condensate drainage.

Fixed Tube Sheet Heat Exchanger: The most common type. The tube sheets at both ends of the tube bundle are directly welded to the shell. Simple structure, low cost, and compact. However, the outer wall of the tubes cannot be mechanically cleaned, and thermal expansion differences cannot be compensated for. Suitable for applications where the shell-side medium is clean and the temperature difference is small.

U-Tube Heat Exchanger: The tubes are bent into a U-shape, with both ends fixed to the same tube sheet. Because the tubes can freely expand and contract, the thermal stress problem is completely solved. The tube bundle can be pulled out of the shell, facilitating shell-side cleaning, but the U-shaped bends inside the tubes are difficult to clean.

Floating Head Heat Exchanger: One end of the tube sheet is fixed to the shell, while the other end (the floating head) can float freely within the shell. Perfectly solves the problems of thermal expansion and tube bundle extraction, facilitating internal and external cleaning and maintenance. The most commonly used type in petrochemicals, but it has a complex structure, high cost, and is prone to leakage.

Double Tube Sheet Heat Exchanger: A high-standard safety design. Two independent tube sheets are used at each tube box end, forming a visible leakage zone between the two tube sheets. If a leak occurs in the inner tube sheet, fluid will only flow into this gap and exit through the alarm port, thus preventing cross-contamination between the tube-side and shell-side fluids. This is crucial for industries requiring absolute isolation, such as pharmaceuticals, food, or hazardous chemicals.
