Swimming Pool Titanium Heat Exchanger

This is a crucial piece of equipment in swimming pool temperature control systems, its core function being to heat the pool water efficiently and sustainably. Due to its superior corrosion resistance, it has become the preferred heating solution for high-standard swimming pools, especially those using chlorine-based disinfectants.

A titanium heat exchanger for swimming pools is a device that indirectly heats pool water through a metal wall by utilizing heat from a heat source (such as a boiler, solar energy, or heat pump). Its core heat transfer components are made of pure titanium, ensuring an extremely long service life in the complex chemical environment of swimming pool water.

Structural Types:

  • Shell-and-Tube Type:This is the most common form. Multiple thin titanium tubes (tube bundles) are enclosed in a large outer shell (usually carbon steel or stainless steel).
  • Pool water flows through the interior of the titanium tubes.
  • The heat transfer medium (such as high-temperature hot water or steam) flows around the titanium tubes in the shell side.
  • Plate Type: Composed of a series of corrugated titanium sheets stacked together, forming complex flow channels. The structure is more compact and efficient, but its anti-clogging ability is slightly weaker, and it requires higher water pretreatment.

 

Working Principle:

  • Cold water from the swimming pool is pumped into the tube side of the titanium heat exchanger by a circulating pump.
  • Simultaneously, the heat transfer medium (high-temperature water or steam) from a boiler, air-source heat pump, or solar collector flows in the shell side.
  • Two fluids exchange heat through the titanium tube walls but are physically isolated, preventing pool water contamination by the heat source.
  • The heated pool water flows out of the heat exchanger and returns to the swimming pool, thus maintaining a constant pool temperature.
